Hello, my name is Rory Wood. In this next series of blogs, I am going to be looking back at some of my favourite wildlife photos captured in the Castle Cary area so far.
Many of the pictures featured, were taken at Carymarsh and Carymoor Environmental Trust Nature Reserves, and the lanes I walk that lead to them. I will talk about an animal or two per blog. Make sure you sign up to hear about your favourites and follow me on social media to get notifications and keep up to date. As well as looking back I will hopefully be posting a blog with current photographs I capture too.
For those who don't know Castle Cary, it is a small market town that looks out over the Somerset levels, from which you can easily see the stunning sights of the surrounding area, including Glastonbury Tor, on a clear day. There is plenty of green countryside and interesting spaces for many different species to live in and for us to get out and explore.
Here are a few example photos of the animals I will be posting about:
Don't forget to share these pictures with your animal loving friends and follow me on my social media pages. Also if you would like to purchase one of the photos above and it is not in my shop please contact me and I will be more than happy to help.
